A new school year is beginning nationwide, and we’ll soon be flooded with orders for our free classroom resources that teach students to reject bigotry. Please help us be ready to distribute these award-winning materials — free-of-charge — to every school that requests them. This coming year is the 50th anniversary of important civil rights milestones and we expect requests for our educational tools to be particularly high. I’m asking if you will send $90, $120, or whatever you can to help meet the demand for our Teaching Tolerance materials.
2014-2015 Teaching Tolerance distribution plan:
800,000 copies of Teaching Tolerance magazine: Two issues mailed to nearly half a million educators and a third issue offered online;
Multimedia education kits: Films and educational kits such as Bullied, Viva La Causa, and A Time for Justice. And, production is underway on a new film about voting rights — more than 50,000 copies will be distributed this school year;
Additional publications, curriculums, and online classroom lessons: Sent free-of-charge to every teacher who requests them.
With your extra gift, we will reach millions of children with lessons of tolerance and justice in the year ahead. Please remember to continue to be a role model for the children in your life. Stand up to hate and intolerance whenever you see it Sincerely, Morris Dees; Founder, Southern Poverty Law Center
