The now extinct Cordoba Fighting Dog originated in Córdoba, Argentina. This breed was the predecessor to today’s Dogo Argentino. A main reason the breed vanished and the Dogo remained was its strong aggression toward other dogs. Primarily meant to be a fighting dog, even males and females would rather fight than mate.
