cam decides to take a seat next to him, though he can safely say he’s a touch anxious to do so. it’s weird, being anxious sitting next to your best friend, he’d never had that before but now it was potent. “who was he then?” he asks as softly and as casually as he can, it’s a way of starting a conversation, he hoped it worked.

the expectation had been that he’d never see him again, least of all when he had three kids under the age of five surrounding him. the reality was exactly that and the other man seemingly in a similar position. he battles with himself briefly, before deciding to take the plunge, “uh -- it’s...you’re logan, right?” he knows it is, but there’s always that small tingle of uncertainty, ready to drive him to the brink of insanity. 

                        “SO... IT seems like your secret admirer has come forward, huh?”

               "we know it sounds crazy, but it's the truth." sydney murmurs, finally breaking the uncomfortable silence that had settled between them after the two women presented all the evidence to her. it had been no easy task to track the other female down, and while part of her still hurt at the realization that her boyfriend was simultaneously dating other women, the last thing she wanted was to leave another woman in the dark. she had always been one to take girl code seriously. "i'm sorry you had to find out this way." the brunette adds, pearly whites biting the inside of her bottom lip.

I am drawn to you the same reason moths are drawn to burning flame. We are both compelled to jump into beautiful things even if they have the potential to demolish us.

waking up with logan lying on top of him was always going to be his favourite thing in the world. for a while there, he’d considered it a hopeless case. they’d seen each other once, neglected to swap numbers and that seemed to be the end of it. but here they are now, raising their kids together in domestic bliss. their exes are happy enough, and it feels as life is only going to get better from here on out. he wakes up slowly, humming when he feels the warmth of his boyfriend’s body pressed against him. “morning, baby.” he whispers, peppering soft kisses along his temples and forehead, entirely unaware -- and unprepared -- for what’s to come.

“you think we’re ready to go back to the old home town? see our favourite people after...” lips purse as she attempts to work out the time in her head, “however long?” that’d do.

“this place is a fucking tip, really should’ve ended up with a woman.” pregnant pause, “...what? -- too soon?”
