Not everyone who makes fandom content is a professional writer, instead, most of the time they're just starting out/haven't really practiced writing, and their content is just a reflection of their love for something. (Also, many of us are writing in their second or third language...)

I'm not saying you can't find something "unreadable" by your personal standards because nothing can be loved by every single person on the planet, but you can't really complain if you haven't done anything yourself.

I started writing because I loved the game and I needed to fill the void of fics related to a certain character of the game, and my first works certainly were something (😐) but with practice they got better. Everyone complains about the tiktok wave but at least there were people who wanted to interact with you, discuss the game and just generally form some sort of contact instead of passively consuming without contributing to game discussion or fanwork!

As of now, there are way less active writers and posting fics has basically become a personal exchange between you and two mutuals because everyone else has either temporarily left the fandom or just lurks without actual interaction, which would be fine, but you can see the drop in interactions.

So anons, come discuss in our inboxes and actually give us interesting perspectives or do it yourselves!

Not to say that some of this shit isn't ridiculous, but I'll be the bitch here and pull the 'make it yourself' card on most of you here. Want to see less misogynistic takes for the women and girls in fic? Want to see less Palegun? Want to see less senseless porn and more character analysis? Want to see less pedo anon? That's your solution to ALL these problems: make more yourself and drown the bullshit out.

... or at the very least interact with the creators actually making what you like, contrary to popular belief they do exist. I have a solid bet that most of you are silent consumers- aka worthless on this side of things. Maybe try fixing that?
