So the vote has been complete, and here is the final version of my oc’s tattoo
“The fall doesn’t matter.”
At least that’s what Sergi, one of the antagonists in the Mountain of the Sun continuation, declares.
That’s why he chose to tattoo Icarus—still mid-flight, defying gravity. A romanticized symbol of freedom and transgression.
In a culture that has glorified his fall as a tragic warning, he embodies rebellion and beauty, fully aware of the end.
It’s not a cautionary tale, it’s a conscious decision.
Sergi, or Sergio, is a Celtiberian warrior, and the cabdil of the main city of Numantia. He grew up in the pre-Pyrineaic regions of Eastern Aragon, having a foot in city life and the other on the rural areas. Orphan of both father and mother, he comes from a military family that has during previous generations crossed paths with Iberian and Celtic gods. Making him a good candidate for Neton to claim him.
You can see the Iberian word śalir on his bracelet, meaning silver, value/valor currency. (In this case, bravery) and the other one with the Numantian horse.
On his piercings there are other letters belonging to the most expanded Iberian alphabet.
💡 Small bonus: final look of my favourite version of the tattoo that has ended up coming second in the polls 😢: Icarus admiring the sun one last time.
