Another fun new arrival at the showroom: #Ficce by #YoshiyukiKonishi, late 1980s hand knit sweater in cotton, linen, viscose & acrylic. . Established in the late 70s, Ficce by Yoshiyuki Konishi is renown for visually arresting and intricately crafted knitwear. Rejecting conventional notions of embellishment and taste, Konishi used a diverse repertoire of materials and knitting techniques to create outlandish garments that look just as strange now as when first presented decades ago. The playfulness of Ficce's surrealist iconography is given substance by their exceptional level of detail. . Knit entirely by hand, this colourful design consists of abstract forms against a white background, compartmentalised within linear borders. Most forms have some sort of three-dimenional 'evil eye', with shapes reminiscent of Pacific Tapa cloths and Native American blankets. The silhouette is oversize with long arms. Like most of Ficce's best work, the result is irreverent but deeply complex. Available, to fit M-L-XL. . #endyma #ficceuomo (at ENDYMA) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-ZpAFYAOOd/?igshid=19yltgsczteun
