i have so much to say but i SHOULD be funneling all this into fic instead of making posts on tumblr dot com. but making posts is easierrrrrr.
anyways. thinking abt reapers and hellhounds today. and how reapers are very much NOT a class of angel. fuck thaaaaat. they're their own thing. and they serve DEATH. reapers, like death, are neutral and not serving any "side." they must be impartial. (which is why dean sucks so bad at being death for a day. too much heart. emotions get in the way)
hellhounds are a type of reaper. sort of. a reaper-like creature bred and trained by hell to USURP the souls reapers are meant to collect. they're bred to be especially fast and brutal. AND to be the source of the person's death (while they're digging for the soul). so they're already THERE on-site before reapers.
demon deals are a sort of underhanded business practice. they're messing with the nature of things to try to funnel souls into hell (to make more demons). and to do that they need to swindle reapers and get the goods first. so they created hellhounds to do that.
