Reunion || Fiadh&Hastalik
The young witches fingers ran along the spines of the books within the old store. From the wear and tear to the various shelves and the counter that an old woman sat behind reading it was apparent the store had been open since the restoration of Destarin almost two hundred years prior. Hastalik couldn't recall a time it had not been there but he also had not previously been allowed entry.
Books were often written by the evils of the world and it was easy to be tricked by their convincing turns of phrase. Hastalik had been warned of this his whole life but repeatedly so when he asked his Uncle if he might step inside to gain more information on the workings of the Oh coven, to be more capable in his current mission, to gain information from the witch Oh Chung Ae. Khaan had warned his nephew of the dangers inside books, that they might trick him into thinking things that were not true, and so he should be mindful that anything he read he verify in the Anhci archives. If not also there within their sacred texts then it was a falsehood he could use on his mission, but should not take as truth.
Still, Hastalik was excited, to know things he had never been allowed before, and was picking out books entirely unrelated to Oh Chung Ae. He brought down a book about the art of tattoo, as his body was practically coated in them it seemed thrilling to potentially know how other's adorned their forms with ink, what process was used, what materials. Smile at the corner of his mouth he was ready to be absorbed into the knowledge, when the bell chimed to say the door to the bookstore opened.
Naturally his gaze lifted, though his body stepped back into the shadows of the shelving. With the draping of his black robes, and the mask he wore over his face he all but disappeared into the shadows of the establishment, uttering a few sort words to trigger one of the ritualistic markings on himself to conceal his presence further. Were someone to directly look his way they would see him, or to get close, but a passing glance he would be unseen.
