She couldn't... oh she did. Spark slowly worked through their thoughts, recalling that Fern mentioned being from a small town in a warmer region up north, so she most likely didn't have many (if any) enchanted clothes.

"Do you not have any clothes with warmth enchantments?" Via asked bluntly, working through the same thought process Spark went through just a second faster. "It's on every travel manual to Mount Kimoru"

Fern's feathers ruffled, as he looked to the side. "I kinda... didn't read any..." she mumbled

Spark and Via stood there in silence, stunned by the reveal.

"Is that why you always wear that flame hoodie?" Via asked, her words most likely reading as more aggressive than she intended. Still, she offered her help, taking off her hairtie and tying it to Fern's hair, which immediately made him seem better.

Despite her relief, Fern looked a tad offended at the question. "Thanks. And... yeah... but I also just really like that hoodie" he explained, shrinking down a bit.

Now that Spark thought about it, they never really saw Fern wearing anything else at all, which surprised them if only because of how long it took them to notice. Taking a proper look at her, Fern's arms were far bulkier than they seemed earlier (Spark had to ask for his workout routine later), and she wore a shirt that admittedly fit her very well - a black graphic tee with a burning cartoon heart drawn on it. With hindsight, it was funny that someone who so often wore flame-themed clothing didn't know clothes could be enchanted with fire magic.

"Hey, are you two free later today?" Spark asked, resting their hands on the back of their head. "If you are, we could go out to buy some clothes, and get Fern something for the cold." they explained further.

"Oh yeah, sure." Via replied, her tone unreadable as always, "I was planning on buying some hair dye anyways, so it'll be nice to have your company!" her phrase ended with a notable cheer in her voice, and her face had a pleasant smile on top. Perhaps Spark misjudged her.

"Yeah," Fern agreed, still sniffling a bit, "it'll be nice to spend some time with you two outside!"
