Far From Home

Taryn didn’t really mind Johnny closing the door, it just made her feel more secure about not being discovered. Though, now that she thought about it, maybe she should have brought some weapons in case Johnny decided to fight her. Then again, maybe she was just over thinking due to her nervousness.
At the Scout’s question, the Brit’s heart dropped into her stomach. Shit. She hadn’t thought of that. Her heart began to pound wildly and she ran a hand through her hair as she fought for a answer.
"W-well, um, you see it’s not that simple because, well… ." Taryn gave a defeated sigh and raised her hands as if saying she was innocent. "Fine, you got me. I’m not here to check out the base. I…kinda wanted to see you again."
When she admitted that she did want to see him a brow lifted just slightly in a 'really?' sort of way. And here he was just messing with her. Chuckling softly he leaned forward and rested his forearms against his thighs. "Good to see I made a memorable impression."
What in the world was he doing? She was an enemy, one that had close in sight on their base, and he was just sitting there having a conversation with her. Lifting a hand he scratched at the side of his stubbled jaw and glanced over to the door thoughtfully.
"Y'know, duckin' into a room like ya did is pretty suspicious." Not that he could talk. He basically did the same thing. Looking back over to her, the corner of his mouth lifted in a grin. "Gotta say, ya definitely got some balls. I gotta admire dat."
