Cloud Strife x reader – him being the shy one in the relationship (HCs)
When you first noticed that Cloud is actually quite shy, at least when it comes to your relationship, you found it both incredibly sweet and funny at the same time, especially since he often acts like he’s the toughest guy on earth, so you never expected him to be insecure or shy about anything.
For example, Cloud rarely initiates kisses himself. It’s not that he doesn’t like to kiss you; it’s more the fact that he’s not really used to initiating any kind of intimacy, so he’s a bit hesitant about that. Of course he would never admit it but you know him well enough to know exactly what’s going on.
He doesn’t like when people make fun of him because of his insecurities (which is why he usually tries everything to hide them) but when it comes to you he actually doesn’t mind it too much. He knows that you aren’t trying to mock him in any way, you’re just teasing him in a playful manner to get him out of his shell.
One thing you will definitely notice is how he always avoids your gaze when you start teasing him. Sometimes he even turns his head away because he doesn’t want you to see that he’s blushing (even though you probably noticed it already). He tries to find a quick-witted answer to your comments but most of the time he can’t come up with something which is why he usually remains silent and doesn’t answer at all.
You often feel the urge to pepper his face with kisses because he’s just so adorable when he doesn’t know what to do. Sometimes you give in and actually do it, just to see the confusion on his face and to make him blush.
