but yeah drawing takes energy and time, so stick to the events that feel interesting and fun! i redo moon skips now and then if nothing happens that feels interesting enough to spend time drawing, or like if a litter of 6 identical kits is found lmao. so basically cater it to what you feel is interesting. then again, “mundane” events can add depth if you make them more personal, i think! it is a random generator after all and that’s kind of the beauty of it

also don’t feel bad for not giving every character even screentime, it’s impossible and some characters just never do interesting things lol

finally, definitely study the relationships of the cats as they develop, it can help you focus on interesting dynamics

i'm thinking about fog's kits primarily... turtle went through hell and back to kick frozen in the ass just for fog to murder her which is! something! HSNDJJFF

i also rlly RLLY like the concept of df frozen + haunting fog's family line... bc like... frozen could get revenge by torturing fog and maybe even her kits... i'm just saying!!!!

looking at the traits of clan members, compassionate is pretty common, as well as traits relating to taking care of the young (good kitsitter, good teacher etc). they are also constantly leaving prey for outsiders and talking calmly with loners, and often complain when someone isn’t doing anything useful (even kits and elders…), and appreciating when they do, so they definitely expect everyone to contribute. so i would say compassion and community are very important to songclan cats in general, and helping others is something they value highly.
