Tragedy of War || fetchinglyfreckled
Elsa could hear the sound of steel coming from the battle ground. In the end, Anna’s plan had failed, and they had attacked. The Arendelle army was accompanied by armies from the Northern Isles and Corona. They were making ground, powered by Elsa’s ice magic and the strategy from Generals far more seasoned than she.Â
The battles were bloody and every time is paused, the number of dead grew, stabbing at Elsa’s heart further. She herself had yet to go to the field, being held back by her guards each time. It was getting ridiculous. These were her men and she should be there with them, protecting them while they protected Arendelle.Â
The day they brought Kristoff back, battered and bruised, was the day she had enough. She steeled her shoulders, glaring at the guards. They knew they wouldn’t be able to stop her this time. Elsa turned to Anna, saying in a clear and steady voice: “Under no condition are you to leave this castle. Remember what you promised me if I don’t come back. I have to do this.”
With that, Elsa turned and left, marching towards the battle with her head held high. Time for this to end.
AU-The Fall of Arendelle
The King of the Southern Isles gathered his sons for a meeting. It was known throughout history that brothers would fight for the crown and he wished to avoid that, even his own head was on the line.
"Each of you will be given an army, supplies and a warship. Whatever land you conquer is yours with my protection but you will answer to me," the King explained.
Each of the boys glanced to each other with a quirked brow then looked back to their father.
"If you are captured or defeated do not turn to me to pay your ransom or whatever the price may be," the King barked, "Now off with you!"
In a week's time, Hans had boarded his ship and began to an assault on small kingdoms in the land of Norway. His research had proved rewarding as he claimed thrones for himself and began to build an empire. His men were rewarded handsomely with gold, land and women to their heart's content.
During one of their dining parties, a young woman sat upon his lap giggling and whispering into his ear. Hans watched his men toasting to each other and fraternizing with the ladies of court. "You think you could slay the Ice Queen?" she mused in his ear.
"Ice Queen?" he snapped, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her into his view.
"Haven't you heard the tales? She's the young Queen of Arendelle with powers of ice, unable to control them."
"I have heard no such thing!" Arendelle? He had never heard of it. If it's Queen could not control her powers, strange as they are, Hans would come in and slay the beast freeing the citizens of her curse.
"Her sister is the known to be the most beautiful woman in all the land, I'm sure it's all talk." Pouting, the young woman met his lips for a quick kiss.
Hans pushed her aside and stood. "Gentlemen!" he commanded. "Tomorrow we ride to Arendelle!"Â Cheers echoed through the halls.
It was in a carriage that the troop met the Ice Queen. She was on her way to an event outside of town when they surrounded her. Using her magic in defense they encircled her, a few losing their lives as they took her down and pinned her to the dirt of the trail.
Stepping forward, Hans gripped his sword at his side. "Your reputation proceeds you. I'm disappointed quite frankly, I pictured you much more hideous and powerful." Raising the sword above his head he plunged it into her heart.
"I want her head!" He ordered, pulling his sword from her chest and turning on his heels. Whistling for Sitron they rode into town.
A meeting with the Queens advisor's was arranged where the Ice Queen's head was presented. "Let's just try to get along, shall we?" He laughed. "I'm not here to change laws quite honestly." The advisor's quivering bowed their heads in defeated. "There is the matter of the princess. I wish to see her, if she is lovely enough I shall have her as my bride."

oh my gosh
// Elsa does what she wants
In Another Life || fetchinglyfreckled
Elsa stared at the carpeted floor. It was just her and Anna now. The last week was a blur of people telling her things she didn't want to hear, being forced to say things she didn't want to say, and struggling not to cry in public. Papa would want her to remain strong for her sister. He would want her to act like Andersons were supposed to. And then he would hug her, like he always did.
Elsa felt the tears begin to sting her eyes. She reached over to lace her fingers with her sisters, gaining strength just by being near her. It was almost over. The line grew short. How many people would come to pay their respects to the Governor and his wife? She hoped not too many more. It was hard enough keeping it together for this long but if one more person commented about how much she looked like her mother or how proud her father would have been, Elsa was going to snap.
When the last person had gone through the line, Elsa sighed in relief. Her shoulders slumped and she felt like the wight of the world was on her. "At least that's over." She turned toward her younger sister. She had grown up so much while Elsa was away at school. She felt like she missed all of it.
"Do you wanna go home?"
