Personality: So talkative, fan of inappropriate jokes and sarcasm. Doesn't care about things, unless it directly impacts him. Doesn't respect anyone who demands it. Competitive to the point that the 'who can be quiet longest' trick will still work on him.

Style and Appearance: Long sleeves. Could be a thermal under a tshirt, or could be a button up. Even in summer it's long sleeves and full length pants. Most things have some paint or clay or misc materials on them. Shorter hair he can easily push back to look neat, but if left alone can look floppy and wild, usually clean shaven.

Piercings and Tattoos: None in base.

Scars and Distinguishing Marks: A criss cross of scars all across his body. Calls it humanoid kintsugi. Has that look of shattered porcelain stuck back together, the scar tissue itself is more silver-blue than regular skin tone.

Sexuality: Prefacing this with a reminder he is not human. Human labels don't apply to what is just natural instinct or behavior to him. Barghests are - in this version of them - social pack beings who use sex very casually as a way to establish many different types of social bonds or hierarchies. Not just ones humans would see as romantic or sexual. They can have a single 'mate for life' if they ever decide to, but they're still far from monogamous. Human genders don't matter, so some variation of demi-romantic, bisexual to put human labels on for sake of clarity.

Abilities: Still retains barghest form - a hulking void black wolf like beast with glowing red eyes. It's also got the shattered scars. Can make himself incorporeal. Magical fast travel. Doesn't need to eat or drink. Cannot get intoxicated by any known mundane means. Can be used as, basically, a magical battery. A source of energy for magic. Has a 'familiar form', which is a small grey song bird with blue iridescent banding.

Weaknesses: Compulsion magic tying him to someone (Leaving this open for playing with). Iron and silver. If he eats or drinks it makes him feel awful. It's not harmful, it's like being lactose intolerant and eating the ice cream. Sometimes it's worth it. Sometimes it was a mistake. His memory is shot. Might even say fragmented. So sometimes he has trouble accessing things, putting names to faces etc. Even if just introduced.

Bits and Pieces:

He was a barghest, as mentioned, fully one. Now he's a familiar made up for the stitched together fragments of a being who was torn apart by, and joined, the sluagh. The creator who makes familiars, for sale and on commission, catches fragments. They only need one to make a familiar, but the the more, the more complete and useful, able to do more complex tasks.

Has vague memories of his life, like everything else, they come and go. Knows he likes painting, creating, getting messy. Remembers things about his pack occasionally, and that he liked godzilla movies. Even sometimes remembers his actual names, both the real barghest one and his common use spoken name: Roux.

As a familiar, his job is to help whoever he's bound to. Compulsion magic enforces a helpful obedience. He gathers things, runs errands, helps in magic. If your muse would have reason or means to have a familiar, it's very much an established relationship that's open for use.

Just because he has to do as told, doesn't mean he'll do it without commentary or deviation from instruction. Plus, because of the having to do as told, if someone who isn't 'in charge' tells him to do anything, ever, no matter how small, he'll refuse.

Does a lot of puzzles. His memory might be shit, but he likes to try and train it to be better. Big fan of random trivia. Do you want to name all the countries in europe and see who can do it faster? Too bad! It's now a race. What about listening to someone line for line recount Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla to you? He'll do both. At once sometimes. While handing out backhanded complements.

Will ask the same questions and bring up the same ideas over and over unless reminded and stopped.

Doesn't like earth dogs or fairy hounds. They freak him out. Think that comic of the wolf seeing a dog in the woods (Here)

Sometimes will try out different names, but the only one that will stick in his mind now is Fetch, because it's the one the creator who made him into a familiar put into him. A little joke. They name all the familiars they make after common tasks. Memo. Messenger. Errand. Delivery. Coffee. Cleaning.etc. etc.
