A fun and festive treat for the holidays are these cake pops that resemble Christmas trees. These are simple to prepare and make lovely gifts or to share at holiday get-togethers. Use your imagination when decorating, and enjoy yourself with the whole family!
Ingredients: 1 box of your favorite cake mix. 1/2 cup of frosting. Green candy melts. Assorted colorful sprinkles. Edible gold stars. Lollipop sticks.
Instructions: Bake the cake as directed on the package, then allow it to cool fully. In a large bowl, crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs. Mix the frosting thoroughly with the cake crumbs after adding it. Using a lined tray, shape the mixture into small Christmas trees in the shape of cones. Melt green candy as directed on the package in a microwave-safe bowl. To ensure an even coating, dip each cake pop into the melted candy. Remove any extra coating by tapping. While the coating is still wet, decorate with edible gold stars and colorful sprinkles. Place lollipops into the bottom of every cake pop and allow them to solidify. Present and savor your festive popsicles of Christmas trees!
