{In response to your head cannon} --Super agrees with you on the overlap yet i always seem to sway to Water-bender for Sakura, simply because water-benders are assumed to have the most chi control <3 And the whole blood-bending thing reminds me ironically of all the puppet-masters Sakura always comes up against yo! (Also super relates Sakura to Korra tbh~)
yells yES i was just thinking of the mix between blood benders/puppetry?? her personality is incredibly similar to korra, but there’s a lot of katara in there, too. sakura’s fighting style is, incidentally, incredible acrobatic: although it involves brute strength, a lot of her fight sequences involve her moving around in ways that remind me of some of the more intricate waterbending moves, where fluidity and quickness is necessary.

Karin groaned, having been awaken from what was the best sleep she had in years. She turned over towards the direction of the young woman’s voice, and looked hazily into her eyes. She had maybe an inch of room on the bed, and a measly quarter of the blankets Karin had nestled herself in. She frowned, having been really comfortable, and sighed heavily.
“..Fine,” She muttered, still in a sleepy daze.
She scooted over to the other side of the bed slowly, not wanting to give into the idea of giving her more room. When Sakura had finally settled in, Karin moved her arms around the young kunoichi, pulling her in for a hug, and proceeded to wrap her leg around her waist. Once she had finally gotten comfortable on her bedmate, she carefully, she began to cover her in the blankets she was just hogging to herself, being sure to rest them at Sakura’s shoulders so she was tucked in. Karin nuzzled her face in the crook of her neck, squeezed her closer, and quickly began falling back asleep.
