#fergberger

My fickle heart fell in love with this Alpine town as it seems to for most of the places I have had the privilege of visiting.

This was definitely my favourite stop on our road trip around the South Island, not least because I found the courage to hurl myself off a 43m high bridge or scoffed an all famous Fergberger (remember Ferg loves you!) before the prowling seagulls could get a look in. 

Lets not forget the jetboating down Shotover canyon that the Royals (yes the Prince and Princess) did only a year before us (I was actually more impressed that they had Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morisette in their hall of fame and of course some of the Vampire Diary crew!) or the luge wars at the top of the Gondola ride.

Everyone seems to be so upbeat and happy here and it’s not hard to see why surrounded by teal waters and chocolate dusted mountain ranges, craft beer and outdoor adrenalin activities to satisfy all the “cool kids”.

I will return, one day, with lots of money to enjoy it just as much all over again! I would probably give myself more time to explore the neighbouring towns too.(Arrowtown, Frankton and Wanaka)
