This week it’s Fengr / Fengs / Fengur / Fengjar. A name for Odin mentioned in several old sources such as Reginsmál and in the Þulur.
Listed among Odins names. It’s translated as to ‘catch’ or ‘gain’ something. It's thought to relate from the Old Norse “fá” meaning to ‘receive’, ‘catch’, or ‘gather’. And the Old Norse “fang”, meaning to ‘hold’, or have ‘provisions’ or ‘booty’.
It’s used for Odin in his aspect of collecting the valuable warriors fallen in battle, for his Einheri / Einherjar army.
