i know fenell's motivations havent been COMPLETELY fleshed out and explained yet, and i might be completely off base with my interpretation/theory(?), but i wanted to talk about it anyways.
so, separation and grief are two pretty prominent themes within delicious party. they havent been discussed in depth very frequently, but its everywhere. yone, ginger, kome kome the first, yui's dad, takumi's dad, kokone's parents... all of them are or were gone in some way from the people who loved them, with only memories of them left for them to cherish. and keeping that in mind, isnt it interesting how yui constantly shares the memories she has of her grandmother with others, meanwhile fennel is trying to take what's left of ginger for himself? both of them lost someone they loved so much and it obviously very deeply impacted and hurt them, but the way they treat that person's legacy are complete opposites.
just something i was thinking about.
