Mana’s OC-tober Day 6: Fear/Panic
"You have to understand that ascension into godhood does not allow many allies, as most become jealous of the power that comes with the title. You may not like what is happening, but this is just nature taking its course. I hope that you won't take it too personally." He smirked and directed his full attention back to Maya. He was now standing close enough to her to reach out and touch her if he wished. The shadows that ebbed and flowed with his will were circling her like tiny hurricanes at her knees now. The clawed hand extended out lifting her chin to force her eyes to his. "You don't have to express your fear, I can feel it." For the first time his smirk expanded into a grin, the inside of his mouth being completely void of color. It was in that moment that Maya realized she would die by the hand of the one she loved.
Because is it truly an OTP if one of them didn’t almost kill the other at least once?

"May I have this dance, Maybelle Desmarais?" He raised her hand to his lips, placing a gentle kiss to her fingers, crimson eyes locked on her ocean blues. "I thought you'd never ask." She smiled and let him draw her in, sinking into the welcome and all too familiar touch of his hands holding her hand and hip, as she placed her on free hand on his shoulder. "Lead away, my love."
