Education and awareness are the reason I lost my innocence, it is hard to be fearless in a human world where what you see isn't what it is, little things like stopping to talk to a stranger has implications, 10 years ago for me it meant nothing just a moment of sharing words and maybe care or a smile, now you have to think twice before you do - these ideas developed by the current media and even family, youths elders mentioning safety, this being the simplest (and the most annoying) thing I could think of.Where there is a domino reaction of everything you do and use on a scale you can never control - the clothes on my back, the food I eat, the medicine I use or administer, the cost of everything in contrast to where the raw materials, and labor came from to the bigger picture (not the one painted for you - but one compiled from actually thinking for yourself).The news is a glimpse of the result of nightmares created by humans for humans - refugees, wars, concept and ideas manipulating super power cooperations, depletion of our very home. I am not crazy, look a little closer, you will see the links, as consumers we are becoming consumed, at what cost?All these things give us something that shuts us (well, majority of us) up, from a "lifestyle" to a feeling - maybe to feel safe, knowing you will live for the next 80 -90 years and the problem will be someone else at its worst. Well today is the worst, worse than it has been ever before. To grow and know this is a pain.BUT then how you use this education and awareness is the cure for that fear, those nightmares. It seems to be the only salvation. Also I'm not going to plead and talk to an energy to ask it to heal everything, respectively what or who it may represent.Of course, I can not single handedly stop anything, love any displaced population, regrow billions of resources gone, or give back innocence to this world. What I can do is start small and share my little knowledge, empower encourage another human to do the same. THINK and relate this to a bigger picture. Most importantly care a little bit for the living thing next to me. And consciously make decisions to make a mark, a small mark. Even if it may as well be one being, it is better than zero.And perfection may be the hypothetical goal yet progress is what we should be after.Before I was innocent, yesterday I was aware and today I understand. ~littlegirlinabigworldwithacrazymind
