This machine is a union special 35800PZ. It was made to fell (or lap seam) medium to heavy weight material. When I purchased this machine from @warehousesewingmachine it was only a 2 needle machine. However, I have sourced the parts to switch it back into the proper 3 needle machine. Japan, eBay, montreal shops, and home made parts all went into making it run perfect again. It is an 8 gauge which means that there is 1/8” space in between each needle from left to right, totalling 1/4”. Usually felling machines are standard at 9/32, which is a hair bigger than a 1/4”. Some might say that it isn’t too noticeable, but I’m obsessed with the details and this one is important to me! The material in the machine is a burgundy moleskin. I just finished a jacket for my daughter.
