The orange tabby stretched his legs out, letting out a small mewl as he heard the door to the room open. Ears flicking curiously as he jumped down from the desk to meet his owner. Rubbing up against his leg & looking up him. Stretching upwards; lightly digging claws through Charles' pants. "Mrooww~~"
The little boy laughed happily as Felix came to welcome him home as soon as he arrived. Leaning down, Charles gave the cat the pets he demanded, smiling as brightly as his fur.
“Okay! Okay! Hold on, let me get my shoes off first okay?”
Trying to move around the cat, the child sat on the floor to shove his shoes off, making sure to take a moment to carefully arrange them properly on the floor where they belonged before anything else. Once done, he pulled Felix into his lap completely, too happy to spend time with his pet to mind the fur for the moment. That would come later.
“I missed you too. I wish I could bring you to school with me, but Scarlett doesn’t think that would be very fun.”
Charles frowned for a moment at that, but smiled brightly again soon enough, going to move and shift through his left behind backpack. Pulling out a piece of paper, he presented it to Felix, as though a amazing gift.
“But look, I drew you today! My teacher liked it a lot, she said you’re very pretty! I’ll hang it up close to the floor, that way you can see it too whenever you want.”
Setting it on the ground, he spend a few more minutes petting before looking behind him at the door once more. He should probably get up and start doing things soon, before it got too dark.
“Mama will want to see it too. Let’s show her and then start on dinner. I’ll make you something special too tonight, how about that?”
Taking the cat’s low meow as a yes, he got up, carrying the tabby into his mother’s room.
