@fehdahfoli : The Krio Queen 👸🏿 When we arrived in #Freetown I wasn’t fully understanding what Emma A.K.A. @fehdahfoli was talking to people there. My first time listening to full conversations in Krio, the English-based creole language which is spoken by 97% of the population. I felt in love and I wanted to learn it, but I couldn’t say much more then “Watin nar u name?” I hope one day I’ll be able to come back and learn some more. Still, it was powerful, strong and beautiful to see that even born in a western country, both @Loah & #Fehdah kept the legacy of their language, speaking like locals, making music in Krio, and both of them coming back to present a gig to the city. A tree will never be strong enough without deep roots. 🇧🇷 @fehdahfoli : A Rainha Kriô. Quando chegamos em Freetown, capital de Serra Leoa, eu não estava entendendo completamente o que @Fehdah estava falando com as pessoas de lá. Foi a primeira vez que ouvi conversas inteiras em Krio, a língua crioula com base no inglês que é falada por 97% da população. Eu me apaixonei e queria aprender, mas eu não pude muito mais do que “Watin nar u name?” Talvez um dia eu possa voltar e aprender um pouco mais, mas foi poderoso, forte e bonito ver que mesmo nascidas em um país ocidental como a Irlanda, tanto @Loah & @fehdahfoli mantiveram o legado da língua, falando como os locais, fazendo música em Kriô, e ambas voltando para apresentar um show para a cidade.
