The guardians would have their own but personally it’s more of their techniques and adaptations. Rather than directly copying it from someone else.

What I’m getting at is that unlike them Volnutt got it DIRECTLY from X, since he was created with his data so there’s a decent chance that some of X’s more unorthodox abilities might of been passed on to Volnutt unknowingly. Since this is an era of “Halcyon” and not ya know intense battles and shit. Volnutt wouldn’t have to be aware of it, hell even Trigger has no idea about since that knowledge was lost or everyone assumed it’s something that only X himself can do (Aside from Axl and Zero aldheurbwudb).

But unlike how X deals with his Variable weapon system, since Carbons are “Organic” and no light capsules around. It’s probably possible that it’s more likely “Genetic” that unlike his gear that he requires to equip, he can use it at Will and can be implemented into all of his gear but there’s kinda a problem. It would take a toll on his health, as these special weapons have limited uses before finding an energy thang to recharge it.

For Volnutt, his “Variable” Gene might be applied but more limited uses but fuck do they pack A PUNCH. In terms of his appearance would change slightly depending on the ability

It’s more limited to him but I imagine they work as how divine beast/Sage powers worked in Zelda. But they’re would be special equipment designed to use these abilities safer and not draining. He can use them independently but it takes a toll if he’s not used to it. But that doesn’t mean he can be taught how to use them safely with guidance.

What I’m getting it at that wouldn’t be so fucking funny that Volnutt discovers it by accident during a sparring session with Fefnir…that he surprised punched Fef on the face making direct contact with his gem and accidentally Installing it.

Next thing he knew his arm is burnt, he feels that he’s literally on fire…WHY IS EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE.

Meaning Fen is just.

“DAMN LIL GUY SINCE WHEN YOU CAN USE MY SKILL LIKE THAT!?”
