I’m feeling awful about myself that I haven’t been accepted into the Disney College Program yet. I’ve been accepted into a freaking PhD program in School Psychology, yet i’m not qualified to work a minimum wage job?? The worst part is I can’t even be as happy as I should be about my PhD because I wanted the option of Disney so badly. I know I shouldn’t give up on it..and I also know I shouldn’t base my self worth on it..but I am feeling kinda sad and discouraged. I don’t know how I possibly could have messed up the interview!! I have tons of work experience, smiled and sounded positive (I thought) the whole time! I have a bunch of friends who applied to the DCP and all were accepted. :(
There is always that one person you will meet in life, that no matter what, when you're feeling down and out they make all the difference. It's not even a matter of talking to them about your problems. It's as simple as having a bad day and seeing their face makes you forget it all. For me that person is Mike. I could really use that stupid grin of his right now.
