I stepped away from everything today.
I’m not sure if it was the right choice.
But right now, everything just feels a little too much… and a little too scary.
Today’s practice
Romanticizing My Internal Crisis (Because I’m an INFJ)
Okay babygirls, let’s talk about being an INFJ.
So… being an INFJ is basically like being a soft girl with a sixth sense for weird vibes, a PhD in overthinking, and a whole alternate life playing out in your head at all times. It’s not just a personality type. It’s a lifestyle.
Let me paint the picture:
You’re the friend who notices the smallest tone shift in a group chat and immediately goes into analysis mode. You plan entire conversations in your head before they happen. You want deep connection, soft lighting, meaningful eye contact, and for everyone to just say what they mean for once. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, yes.
INFJ life is giving advice at 2 a.m. like you’re a licensed therapist, then disappearing for three business days to emotionally reboot. It’s romanticizing literally everything — your morning coffee, a stranger’s playlist, a 15-second eye contact moment that now lives rent-free in your brain. You’re either hyper-productive with a 12-tab Notion setup or lying in bed wrapped in a blanket burrito asking the universe for a sign. There is no in-between.
You're quiet, but your mind? Screaming.
You're gentle, but your standards? Sky-high.
You're helpful, but also two seconds away from moving to a new city and changing your name.
Being an INFJ means deeply craving a soft, cozy, meaningful life, but also spiraling because the world is loud, messy, and sometimes doesn’t get it. It’s wanting to save everyone, even while you’re emotionally held together by memes and overpriced iced coffee.
And the worst part? We’re so good at pretending we’re fine. Like, you could be having an emotional crisis and still say “no worries!” in the group chat and offer someone a ride home.
But deep down, you’re dreaming. Of a life that feels aligned. Of living in a city that breathes the same way you do. Of finding people who get it. Those who sit in silence with you and know it means something.
INFJ girls are the blueprint for quiet intensity. We want passion, peace, purpose, and maybe a passport. We're not cold, we're just cautious. We're not dramatic, we're just feeling 17 layers of emotion and still trying to look normal in public LOL.
So if you’re like me, a little too self-aware, a little too emotionally invested, a little too obsessed with curating your future on Pinterest, welcome. You’re not weird. You’re just INFJ-coded. And honestly?
It’s kind of iconic. 💌
deep down i wish i could lack some empathy. not feel things the way i do
but how could i truly be myself when my body is fueled by every beautiful and devastating emotion i was always destined to carry.
