Rodimus is a lab grown test tube baby! Made to be pretty enough to appeal to the public, and dangerous enough to appeal to the militarily, he is an amalgamation of multiple species. He was grown to be sold into military use, but was instead purchased by a rich politician. Used for illegal fighting rings, he spent the first six years of his life fighting everything thrown at him. He was rescued by the Lost Light Rehabilitation and Education Center, emaciated and near death. He was nurses back to health and now lives a fat, healthy, spoiled life.

And a few unknown variables the center is still trying to figure out.

What would the Seven's tails look like if they were merfolk? Would their tails fit the color scheme you gave them, or more like that of real fish? Would they of different kinds of fish (Ruixiong is a Koi, Giovanni is an octopus, Josep is a shark, etc) or would they be of the same species? 👀🧜🏻♀️
WEW LAD, THIS IS A LONG ONE, HERE WE GO:
Captain Frascona: the Great White Shark. No, really. I'm actually surprised their distribution reaches the Mediterranean! And this isn't just me being stereotypical, I legitimately love Great Whites and they are my favorite cartilage fish species (as well as the whale shark). I have one as an OC at my Ba'tala blogs (which is pending retooling). Also, gotta have my shark mers.
Abena: A serranus pulcher, a relatively newly discovered basslet in West Africa! She'd have the darker markings around her hips.
Rashid: The coral grouper, which can be found in the Red Sea! LOOK AT THIS CHONKY BOI.
Ruixiong: The cute little Chinese zebra goby! Of course Rui would be something showy and beautiful (and small and adorable xD).
Phoebus and Guy: The Mediterranean rainbow wrasse! Phoebus and Guy would basically be palette swaps of each other, Phi being mostly cool colors and Guy warm.
Giovanni: The ornate wrasse, also from the Mediterranean!
In general I would try to stick to their "sin colors" if I can help it, but I'd otherwise try to match the markings and fin shapes. Also, I deliberately stuck with marine species. Kinda would be silly if they, as sea pirates, would be of freshwater types!
