Bakery owner Stiles and the effects of his baking on initially reluctant turned regular customer Derek
Stiles is a strong believer that health trends don't belong in bakeries. He wants rich, heavy, indulgent, fatty baked goods. They're an occasional treat. That sometimes, "treat myself", cheat day, sort of thing. Where Stiles wants to make it be WORTH it. Nothing is more disappointing then something as simple as a cookie being dry and 'meh'.
So when he sets up his bakery - once the word spreads and people have gotten a chance to try it, everyone has good things to say about it.
(The feeder part of Stiles' brain is thrilled every comment he gets about 'ruining my diet' or "I swear I put on 10lbs since you opened)
So Derek knows of the place. But he refuses to acknowledge his sweet tooth and sticks to his vanilla protein shakes as the closest thing to dessert as he'll get.
Until maybeeee he gets a little drunk at a work party, where the dessert tray is all Stiles' creations, and lets himself indulge a little bit. He doesn't even remember most of the party the next morning…but the next few days he can't stop thinking about Stiles' baked goods.
He finally tells himself to go in, order something, get it out of his system.
He's a new face to the bakery (and Stiles never forgets someone like that walking in). Picks what he decides is the smallest item in the bakery cafe, pays and leaves, with the minimal amount of words possible to Stiles.
He comes home and finds he has some extras in his box, with a little note in the lid "Thanks for giving me a try!"
Despite his best efforts- Derek eats everything that evening.
And then it seems like he can't avoid Stiles' bakery. Shows up at his office. Cora gets a cake from Stiles' bakery for her birthday. Laura has her baby shower dessert buffet all done by Stiles.
So Derek starts coming in more and more to get his fix. Stiles' feeder brain wins over his "we don't make profit like this" side of the brain- and Derek always leaves with more than he orders.
Stiles is testing to see how much would be…suspiciously too much. Especially when Derek's been coming in for a year, and his Henley's are getting tighter, washboard abs giving out for slightly softer middle and the barest hint of lovehandles around his sides.
Stiles wants to squeeze bags of cream filling into his mouth until Derek is too fat to leave.
Something which is slowly becoming closer to a reality as Derek comes in nearly daily. Gets more talkative, tells Stiles about his job, complains about the weather. Starts to flirt back when Stiles is a little more bold in his obvious interest.
It's really not noticeable at first. Derek is in every day now, and seeing someone that often, you get accustomed to the changes. The pounds slowly creeping on.
It isn't until one day, when Derek reaches up to the counter to grab his usual box, that his shirt finally rises up over his stomach. Which is properly a belly now.
Derek notices him looking and grumbles "It's your fault. Can't imagine how many damn calories are in these things."
Stiles grins. "What do you think makes it taste so good?"
Doesn't mention that if Derek was so bothered? He maybe shouldn't come in once a day for a box of at least half a dozen items.
Somehow- it becomes more of a regular thing. A clear kink none of them are ready to admit.
---
"Sure you don't want to make it a full dozen?"
"I'm not trying to be the size of a house."
----
"I have to stop coming here every day."
"Don't like my company? Or was it the lemon bars? I warned you yesterday they were a little sour."
"I couldn't button my jeans this morning."
Stiles peers over the counter. His jeans are sinfully tight with how stretched they are against his thighs (and Stiles has never been so eager to watch Derek walk out the door)
Derek holds up his gut, just enough Stiles can see the two clear sides of his jeans, unable to meet in the middle. "Does this look fine to you?"
"Does this mean you don't want any brownies? These just came out of the oven, still warm!"
---
"I want to still fit through the door, Stiles."
"That's okay…I'd deliver to my favorite customer."
---
(Stiles, like a total creep, looks back through his little security camera by the door that night to find the first day Derek came in, to compare it with that day. The differ
ence is....significant. But not enough for Stiles. He wants Derek trapped in the back, belly pinning him to the ground, stuck as the taste tester and food disposal for the bakery, gobbling down sweets as his body swells and swells with fat)
