Edwardian-era corner building; by the look of the tiling it was probably built as a butcher’s shop before WWI, with upstairs residence, then a long-time corner shop into the 2010's. Latest defunct coffee shop and café now being stripped out after going broke due to the Covid. Marrickville.

Balmain Co-Op Society (est. 1879). Worker's co-operative and credit union. Federation-era "free classical" style grocery and general goods store (1902). Society disbanded (1936) after industry closures in the Inner West during the Great Depression, and the building eventually became derelict. Slowly restored during the 1990's as offices and showrooms. Balmain.
