How to Access, Accept or Decline Your Award Offer
Accessing your award letter is an easy task if you know your way around the financial tab in Ursa.
Log into your student portal, Ursa
Scroll to the very bottom right side of the page, and open your Financial Aid Award Letter link to the 15-16 academic year.
Read all the informational tabs. On the bottom of the third tab called Terms, Certificate and Conditions, there is a link which must be accepted in order for you to review the last tab, Your Award Offer.
Scroll down and see the aid provided to you and either accept or decline it all, or by selecting the drop down arrow, you can choose a certain amount for the academic year.
Remember, whatever amount you accept will be split into half: half for fall, half for spring semesters.
After you’ve accepted your award offer, don’t forget to log into the federal lender’s website using your FSA ID number and complete your Entrance Counseling form and sign the Master Promissory Note.
All aid pays out the first week of each semester directly toward your student bill. If you accepted enough in aid to generate a refund that is what you would use to purchase your books or other educational and/or living expenses.
For more information about the loans, please log into the Office of Financial Aid’s website or give them a call at 970-351-2502 and speak to a financial aid counselor. They are available in Carter Hall 1005 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and they are happy to help!
