privilege and prejudice
Location: fountain, Potter Estate Time: Lunch, 25th of February Status: Closed, for @mauricecreevey, @dearborncaradoc
Edgar caught Caradocโs look and sighed, put the tobacco back into his pocket. Theyโd just finished lunch, and as much as Edgar craved a smoke after a meal, he knew Caradoc couldnโt stand the smell after the same.
They were outside, because Edgar couldnโt stand the confinement of the Potter Estateโs walls anymore, not now that the Secret Keeper was gone and being inside that place was a constant danger. To anyone passing the two of them eating outside on the little fountain, it mightโve looked like an innocent lunch break. But the truth was, the conversation had been tense and the plans suggested, thought over and rejected were plentiful but of little help. And while they both knew not to blame the other for that, it didnโt help with the mood. So the last thing Edgar wanted was to actually annoy Caradoc with his tobacco.
Glancing back up at him now that the tobacco was stored away safely, he was going to make a joke to ease the tension. Something along the lines of: โI have to let you win sometimes, donโt I?โ, but Caradocโs attention was elsewhere. Edgar followed his look and found Maurice Creevey coming straight towards them.
Edgar sat up a little straight but kept his leg folded underneath him. โCreevey?โ he called. โSomething on your heart?โ
