A little different than my usual b&w photo, but since weāre still not home, I thought Iād get a little creative. Itās not really creative. Itās a splash of evergreen filter. Thereās a lot of snow out there, but itās hard to tell from this photo.
We had take out for the first time probably ever, at least that I can remember. Mom prefers to cook home meals with fresh ingredients, but this take out place was close to that. Small business, locally owned, and my momās friend knows the owners. They were needing some financial help, so we ordered for pick up. It was really good!
We never watch TV either, but the babies and Hensley have been a little. Em and I stick to ourselves except when I need to help mom out with the babies. Sheās finally getting a bit of a break too. She works so hard. She really needed it. Sheās a single mom with five girls, Iām the oldest then 10, 6, 4, and 2. Mom needed a vacation, so Iām glad, as much of a hassle as this has been, that sheās finally getting something similar to it. She doesnāt have to work. Iām here to help with the babies and the minis, and her friend helps too and is good company. I know we all are ready to be back at home, but I think we need to look at the bright side of all of this. Weāre at least lucky to be where we are. Mom keeps telling us that. Be happy youāre somewhere that itās warm, has power, and water, even though we have to boil it.
We did watch Perseverance touchdown on Mars today. Weāve been doing the student challenges that we can and watched the videos they were posting. I think Em and I were more into it than Hensley or Lottie, but they still thought it was awesome. Wouldnāt it be so cool to work mission control one day or be a space scientist?
