TEMPLE NEWS: Feather River California Temple Rendering Released, Site Announced
The Church has released an artist rendering and announced the location of the Feather River California Temple. The temple will be built at the site of the Yuba City California Stake Center at 1470 Butte House Road in Yuba City. The existing stake center will be demolished and replaced by the temple, a new stake center, and a distribution center. No groundbreaking date has been announced. The Feather River California Temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson during the October 2018 General Conference and will be the eighth temple built in California.

Although the PCT has not been directly threatened by the Camp Fire that decimated Paradise, California, this 138,000 acre fire is characterizing the new abnormal fire season that is impacting the beleaguered West Coast. Normally, the mountains of Northern California would have received sufficient rain by this point in the Fall to curtail the fire season. However, for example, in the past five months Quincy, California has received less than 1 inch of precipitation when normally more than 6.5 inches would have fallen. Similarly, Chester, California has received less than half an inch when normally over 5.5 inches would have fallen. The forests are extraordinarily dry again this year.
The amazing photo above was taken along the Feather River.
