you know what they say about birds of a feather
Been absent for quite sometime on here but I am still working away in the background! I've been getting back into feathers lately and enjoying their beautiful delicate forms in all states, neat, damaged, ruffled you name it. Here is a wee sample of one of the drawings I've been working on.

Final version: My friend said he wanted a tattoo of a feather and I would have the honour of drawing it

🔸Day 21🔸"Throwback" of #marchmeetthemaker
So this is a drawing I made around 6 years ago. I had bought some wrapping paper which featured the classic Paisley design at the time and I was also a bit feather mad so decided to merge the two together. This was the result, which, surprisingly I actually still rather like. My favourite feather would have to the barn owl in the bottom right corner, their plumage is stunning.

[RE small encounters]
If the first picture was a collection of abandoned stuff picked up on an otherwise scenic stroll, this picture is the resulting exchange of some of those goods with a feathered friend. So I had to choose items that I thought were light enough to be picked up and delivered by a crow or raven. The feather... probably fell out. No birds were harmed in this ideation. ^^"
And that's a wrap for [[Going on a walk]]! I guess the idea of this series came about by thinking of the random-but-priceless scenes and encounters you could come across just by deciding to walk away from the usual for a little bit.
