i'm definitely gonna out myself as An Old Person Who Has Been On This Hellsite Too Long here, but... i think people have forgotten that there's a difference between interpersonal drama that should stay between them and their friend groups, and actually problematic behaviour that the wider rp community needs to know about. callout posts used to pretty much only be used for raising genuine awareness of people who held harmful beliefs / engaged in dangerous behaviour, but you and i both know that we've seen some absolutely absurd shit being spread around in public when it should have stayed in people's group chats.

she's been registered to a lot of social media over the years, but these days nicole primarily uses a combination of instagram, tiktok, and cara for work.

( social media. ) how often do they log in?

she's always logged in to everything in the background, but only has specific notifications on all the time - dms on her personal insta, any sort of professional chats on her other socials, etc. she tries to have dedicated time where she responds to comments and stuff during her working week.

( social media. ) how many followers do they have?

once she's fairly established as an artist she has a respectable amount of followers, but what actually gets the most attention is her tiktok once she starts using it to post fun tips and tutorials.

( social media. ) do they follow a lot of people?

she follows a fair amount of people on her professional accounts, but they're mostly her contemporaries, pages for galleries she works with, and stuff like that. she's following a comparatively tiny number of people on her private account.

( social media. ) how easy is it for them to block someone online?

very! if they post content she doesn't want to see, if they comment weird shit on her page, they're gone.

( social media. ) what do they tend to post online (art, videos, just starting fights online...)?

her instagram feed is a mix of her work on display and works-in-progress in her studio, with the occasional selfie or nice photo. her stories are full of promotions of her friends' work, causes to support, and less 'polished' photos from her day-to-day (mostly of her cat, kaja). she loves uplifting her fellow creatives, and has highlights saved to her page specifically to promote other people's stuff. she also starts making video content for tiktok that she crossposts to reels: timelapse videos of her working, tips and tutorials for fellow artists, studio tours, paint reviews, all kinds of things like that.

( social media. ) did they ever get in an online fight?

i think nicole has argued with a fair number of bigots online, to be honest.

( social media. ) do you think they'd have callouts about them?

probably not.

1.) i know alice would only sleep with an older man if she hated herself that day. i don't let her for a reason but she does do that and 2.) nick could be the same in reverse if he wants to feel like "the bad guy" especially since real ones (me and emlix) know there isn't actually villain in his story if you are smart and yes men are terrible but so is [rocky voice amaze amaze amaze-ing amy] and we actually don't have to absolve her for feminist reasons. i actively hate "good for her" opinions unless it is just to be funny and i do not ever want anyone to that with alice unless it is earned by her and not by just hating any man as default. yes this matters to her and me and everyone defaults to #girlbossing which i can understand but think lacks nuance.

anyways this is my way of saying we are not so mean to ourselves that we let alice and nick do something that realistically would happen to them. everything would consensual anyways because we are not monsters. but if we did it, no one really gets anything interesting.

and also a reminder to myself that we have an even better version of the alice and nick dynamic that i need everyone to appreciate because one night stand that is fine but actually regretful for aforementioned reasons and not worth it ever again so everyone moves on and it becomes a footnote¹

¹ alice and nick are probably familiar through work but only allowed to do that to themselves once when they both hate doing well and realize after that it will not even fulfill them in terms of "worthy" punishment and there are more effective ways to seek that out. and they can move on and look at each other like why did i do that ugh fine back to work.
