There would always be a special soft spot in every wrestler's heart for a legends long-awaited return to the ring- but for Nicole, the Rated-R superstars return hit so close to home she could barely keep tears of joy and amazement from swelling in her eyes. “Honestly it was amazing when I tell you I jumped! Brie must’ve laughed so hard because we’d heard the rumors, but I know how those go, I said there’s no way! But seeing you out there, oh my god!” At this point, the brunette was rambling, endlessly and it was clear. “Listen, I pray every night for that chance to come back to me, and I’ll get back in that ring for one more fight, but if I can’t, I’m so glad it was you that got the chance do it.” Nicole gleamed reaching out squeeze his hand gently. “Like seriously no one deserved it quite like you did.”
“I don’t know if it has anything to do with deserving anything because you know how it goes. Life isn’t always going to go in your favor just because you deserve something.” Adam said, realizing it was luck more than anything that in the span of nine years, his injury was able to heal and be worked on until he could step back into the ring to once again become a competitor. “I should probably get going though,” the Hall of Famer flashed a grin at the former Diva’s Champion and he started to walk away... and then he stopped. Adam stopped and turned back to Nicole, stepping towards her and speaking up once again. “Actually, I wanna say something before I go... are you doing anything after the Rumble? ‘cause I... I don’t know. I’m feeling good and I wanted to ask you out. Even if it’s just to hang out as friends. Gives me a chance to transfer some of my good luck mojo to you.”
