It was a rare occurrence that you were able to find yourself time alone, often preoccupied by the ongoing war and its monstrosities. Hence, you relished the chance to lay beside the creek bed now - soft babbling almost sending you to sleep.
That was the case for a while, at least, before a particular cavalier sidled his way behind you.
"My dear cherub! Whatever are you doing here, all alone?" He said, moving to sit by your side. You rest your head against his shoulder, humming in contentment.
"I'm just admiring the scenery while I can, Sain. Isn't it nice?" He nods, placing a gentle hand on your thigh and kissing your temple.
"While yes, it is nice," Sain murmurs, all the while peppering kisses on the side of your face, "I can't think of anything more stunning then you, my love."
You giggle, quite used to the constant flirtations of the other. It was flattering in a sense, even if it did happen to get quite repetitive. At least he had stopped his skirt-chasing for you; something that seemed to surprise others. What one does for love, you suppose. At the end of the day, all that mattered was the fact the two of you were blissfully in love and would continue to be so for years to come.
