(Shadow: Fi - Ne - Si - Te) - Annie Besant (1847-1933): British theosophist, socialist, women's rights activist, writer and orator and supporter of Irish and Indian self-rule. She helped establish the Central Hindu College in 1898 and the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board in Mumbai in 1922. President of the India National Congress in late 1917. After the war, she continued to campaign for Indian independence and for the causes of theosophy until her death. - Gisèle Halimi (1927-/): French lawyer, feminist activist, and essayist; she founded the feminist group Choisir (”To choose”) to protect the women who had signed the Manifesto of the 343 admitting to having illegal abortions and she defended a mother who helped her minor daughter to het an abortion after having been raped in the Bobigny abortion trial of 1972. - Julianne Moore (1960-/): American–Scottish actress, prolific in cinema since the early 1990s. She is particularly known for her portrayals of emotionally troubled women, in independent, art house and Hollywood films. Several Oscar nominations. Also wrote children books. - Angélique Kidjo (1960-/): Beninese-born American singer-songwriter and activist, nicknamed "Africa's premier diva", noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos. Her musical influences include the Afropop, Caribbean zouk, Congolese rumba, jazz, gospel, and Latin styles. Fluent in Fon, French, Yorùbá and English, and sings in all four languages; she also has her own personal language, which includes words that serve as song titles such as "Batonga". Recipient of the 2015 Crystal Award given by the World Economic Forum of Davos, and of the 2016 Ambassador Of Conscience Award from Amnesty International. - Helen Joanne “Jo” Cox (1974-2016): British Labour Party politician, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Batley and Spen constituency from her election in May 2015 until her death. Working first as a political assistant, she then joined the international humanitarian charity Oxfam, where she rose to become head of policy and advocacy at Oxfam GB. Campaigner on issues relating to the Syrian Civil War, she founded and chaired the all-party parliamentary group Friends of Syria. On 16 June 2016, Cox died shortly after being shot and stabbed multiple times in Birstall. A 52-year-old man was charged with her murder and will stand trial under terrorism protocols.
