Hi, it’s been a while. I was in a low and tired mood the past few weeks but I recently had a good sleep, a good workout, and a good birthday that gave me a boost of creative energy 😊 Here’s what I hammered out within the last 24 hours:

“…You want to awaken the Fell Dragon,” Robin stated plainly.

“We can’t.” Virgil’s swift reply managed to quell Chrom’s blood before it could start boiling. “The power to fully awaken Lord Grima is an extraordinarily rare gift. But the one person who was born with it this time around is no longer with us. Not that he was compelled to use it during life, either… The most I can do is use the Gemstones to borrow his power, and hope it will be enough to euthanize the Divine Dragon.”

“Wh—”

“Euthanize?!” cried Lissa. “You want us to help you kill Naga?!”

“It can’t be helped,” Sabine said, stepping in front of Virgil. “When a dragon’s mind has decayed to the degree that Naga’s has… that’s it. There is no restoring her. I know this may be difficult to believe seeing as we have a vested interest in Lord Grima’s favor… but we all saw the same thing today. Naga is a threat to this world, including her own blood…” She clutched the collar of her dress. “And she herself is clearly suffering, too. It is a sad state of affairs for everyone.”

Including her own blood. Chrom swallowed. Hesitant as he was to accept what a pair of Grimleal had to say, there was no denying the piercing, hateful glare in Naga’s eyes when she caught sight of him specifically. No denying the unbridled rage in her screech that lingered still on his eardrums.
