Note: I am not going by personality, I am going by growths and classes.

Azura is great but:

-She cannot use magic (Nagatas and Lances only)

-She has a horrible mag growth

-She would not be able to be a marriage option for our Edelgard

-Her high skill pass down would majorly help in figuring out how to translate other characters

Izana is great, especially bc he can marry F!Corrin, but:

-He is primarily a healer

-His stats, while the closest to Dorothea's, kinda suck tbh

-He won't be able to use attack magics unless I make him a dark flier, which would actually be pretty beneficial

Micaiah aka the Silver-Haired Maiden is, without getting into spoiler territory, a fortune teller/light mage from the Daein capital’s slums who has the power to heal people without staves a skill you’ll barely use after she actually gets staves on promotion and leads the Dawn Brigade to fight the abusive Begnion Occupational Army tho i think Nolan’s the actual leader but Micky’s the one wearing the pants in this insurrective organization and ends up joining Prince Pelleas and the Daein Liberation Army as one of the prince’s military advisers and elite soldiers

she’s the person Sothe was looking for in FE9, as it turns out she’s been in in a lot of places! usually running away from wart and the like, but got stuck in Daein during the events of Path of Radiance and got by with the people’s help, which made her decide that despite Ashnard’s outstanding disckness she wanted to help the country regardless

and after it is liberated and Pelleas is crowned king things don’t really get much better for her, because of certain political intrigue Daein is forced to align itself with Begnion and face the Laguz Alliance...with underwhelming odds, yet she still does her best!

that’s the part of the game where her character gets fleshed out the most, she’s no miracle worker like the people believe her to be and is in fact very stressed by the whole ordeal of war, on top of that we  also get to see how she takes decisions; she can be cold and calculating for decisions that involve “faceless people”, one she does not know not particularly care about (see the oil trap fiasco) but quickly crumbles and steps back when it might end up harming someone dear to hear (again, refer to the oil trap fiasco), which is fair, giving the lives of your loved ones more importance than to the ones you don’t know is fair, but not exactly good for a general of an army, which turn out to be her main flaw and what bring the fall of the Daein army

unit-wise Micky is a mess, here’s her growths

amazing magic (which does come in handy for healing with physic from safety), luck and res, except luck is the worst stat and you fight very little mages in radiant dawn, so her res won’t really be put to much use. her other stats are downright pathetic, don’t expect her defense to go anywhere, and with her low speed she’ll get doubled a bunch, not like it matter since a good chunk of the enemies one-shot her anyway 

she does have some use, thanks to the sacrifice skill it’s possible to safely lower her hp into Wrath and Resolve range to boos her crit rate to infinity and beyond and make her into a literal nuke, her personal tome Thani (a rapier made into light tome form) is also really good and will one-shot back those nasty generals and maybe even paladins and you get 2 of them, making for a total of 90 uses Hammerne notwithstanding, which is a lot, the term thanibombing exists for a reason

she ends up being a staffbot who can do big damage if needed, and since the enemies in the last 3 maps are all magic users her massive res will kick in there, as well as long-range Purge attacking, but will hardly become a machine of mass destruction like Pelleas, for example

she’s a nice gal, far from perfect but we all know perfect characters are boring, and there’s much about her i didn’t say here. let’s just all agree that her dark mage art in Awakening was a mistake and that she should be in FEH cuz...you know...she was in the top 10 gals...

This is from a reddit post about the 3houses "canon classes." I translated these classes as best I could into the Fates classes. Most characters have multiple classes listed based on their individual weapon boons, banes, and hidden talents. (Yes I know Bernadetta is a Sniper. I personally prefer her as a Bow Knight due to her hidden talent in riding)

a sacaean from Bulgar, Rutgy’s clan got destroyed during Bern’s attack on the capital but he got spared for having Bernian ascendancy and swore revenge on the kingdom, joins Roy as his army is the biggest shot he’s got to deal a really heavy blow onto that country

during the battle on Laus he is hired by Erik as a mercenary to help with the defense of his land, but ends up turning on him after discovering he plans to offer Clarine to the excuse for a human that is Narcian by freeing her and then joining up alongside her into Roy’s army

in his supports with Fir and Karel he reveals he’s killed plenty of people and that he won’t spar with them because “his sword is not for playing” or something to that effect, they both give him the same lecture about all swords paths leaving to the same place though Karel does a better job at sending a message, while Fir retells his lessons to her given by her uncle

in the Dieck support we find that the two of them have fought before and Rutgy attempts on the merc’s life for fun, then later turns out that Dieck got the kill on the soldier who led the attack on Bulgar, “stealing” the kill from him, but then promises to join him in his revenge against Bern, forming a powerful gay ship bromance

his base stats are absolutely insane especially in hard mode, he’s a spectacular bosskiller and also kills non-bosses pretty damn nicely too, and once he promoted to swordmaster and FE6′s +30 crit kicks in he’ll be unstoppable, trust me here i early promoted him at lvl13 and he got a couple of bad levels and he still was my best swordmaster even tho i also used Fir and got her to lvl20 myrm
