The difference between POY, DTY, FDY and other yarns
Polyester is an important variety in synthetic fibers and is the trade name of polyester fibers in China. It is a fiber-forming polymer made from refined terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG) through esterification or transesterification and polycondensation— —Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a fiber made by spinning and post-treatment.
Types of polyester filament:
Primary yarn: undrawn yarn (conventional spinning) (UDY), semi-pre-oriented yarn (medium-speed spinning) (MOY), pre-oriented yarn (high-speed spinning) (POY), high-oriented yarn (ultra-high-speed spinning) ) (HOY)
Drawn yarn: drawn yarn (low-speed drawn yarn) (DY), fully drawn yarn (one-step spinning drawing method) (FDY), fully drawn (one-step spinning method) (FOY) deformed yarn: conventional deformation (DY), DTY, ATY
Pull it by hand. Generally, POY can be pulled longer, while FDY is pulled less. Because POY is a pre-oriented yarn, it is not fully stretched, and the remaining elongation must be more than 50%; while FDY is a fully-oriented yarn, the remaining elongation is generally less than 40%, which is relatively stable.
The difference between DTY and FDY: FDY: After the yarn is spun, the elongation is reduced to less than about 3% and no deformation processing is performed. The appearance is smooth and non-bulky. The adhesion between the fibers is quite high, and the cross section is generally round. Shape (if the shape of the spinning nozzle is non-circular, it will have different shapes depending on the shape of the spinning nozzle), poor air permeability and hard hand feel (relative to DTY), and clothing generally uses its silk-like characteristics.
DTY: The yarn raw material generally uses POY (spinning process is similar to FDY, but the elongation is high). After false twisting (the deformation in the mainland is called), the fibers of the yarn are separated into a bulky cross-section and irregular, and breathable Better performance than FDY, softer than FDY (general conventional yarn). At present, due to the development of ultra-fine and sea-island yarns, sanding is the main trend.
POY: pre-oriented yarn, full name: PRE-ORIENTED YARN or PARTIALY ORIENTED YARN. Refers to incompletely drawn chemical fiber filaments with a degree of orientation obtained by high-speed spinning between unoriented and drawn yarns. Compared with unstretched yarn, it has a certain degree of orientation and good stability. It is often used as a special yarn for drawn false twisted textured yarn (DTY).
DTY: stretch deformed yarn, full name: DRAW TEXTURED YARN. It is made by using POY as raw yarn, and stretching and false twisting. Often has some elasticity and contractility. FDY: Fully stretched.
Full name: FULL DRAW YARN. A synthetic fiber filament further prepared by spinning and drawing. The fiber is fully drawn and can be used directly in textile processing.
POY: Chinese name: Pre-oriented yarn: referred to as the winding yarn produced at a spinning speed of more than 3000 m / min, the orientation degree is higher than that of conventional spinning winding yarn, and it has a certain storage stability than the drawn yarn bottom, but the crystal Still low.
English name: PRE-ORIENTED YARN or PARTIALY ORIENTED YARN DTY:
Chinese name: Stretched textured yarn (false twisted textured yarn), using synthetic fiber thermoplastics, first twisted and then untwisted to obtain a curved, spring-like shape, similar to twisted, actually false twisted, false twisted textured yarn commonly known as Elastic silk, there are two kinds of high elastic and bottom elastic.
English name: DRAW TEXTURED YARN FDY:
Chinese name: Full-stretched yarn: A filament that is drawn without spinning with a spinning-drawing combined machine or high-speed spinning above 4000 m / min.
English name: FULLY DRAWN YARN FDY and DTY DTY: false twisted textured yarn is called DTY (D raw Tex-tu red Y a rn), also known as elastic yarn. DTY network filaments: Network filaments are filaments in the network nozzle, which are tangled with each other to form periodic loops. Network processing is mostly used for the processing of POY, FDY and DTY. The low-elasticity network yarn manufactured by combining network technology and DTY technology has both the bulkiness and good elasticity of deformed yarn, and many periodic and network points, which improves the filament. The compactness eliminates several processes of textile processing and can improve the ability of the tow to pass through the water jet loom.
POY and FDY: High-speed spinning has a spinning speed of 3000 to 6000 m / min, and a winding yarn with a spinning speed of 4000 m / min or less has a high degree of orientation. It is a pre-oriented yarn. ien ted ya rn). If the drawing effect is introduced in the spinning process, a wound yarn with a high degree of orientation and a medium crystallinity can be obtained, which is a fully drawn yarn, which is generally called FDY (fu lly draw yarn).
DT: The drawn twisted yarn is called DT (D raw Tw is t). DT can be obtained by using POY as the raw yarn through a drafting and twisting machine, mainly drawing and giving a small amount of twist. 100D / 36F, 150D / 36F, 50D / 18F, etc. These are the expression methods of fiber specifications. The data above the oblique line indicates the fineness of the fiber, and D is the unit of denier of the fiber, that is, under the standard state, it is expressed by the weight of 9000 meters long fiber, such as 100 denier (100D); The data below indicates the number of holes in the spinneret used in spinning, and also indicates the number of single filaments in the yarn of this specification. For example, 36F, which means that the spinneret used in spinning has 36 holes, that is, the fiber has 36 Monofilament.
Bright, semi-dull, full-dull: In order to eliminate the gloss of the fiber, titanium dioxide (T iO 2) is added to the melt to reduce the gloss of the fiber. If T iO2 is not added to the melt as a shiny wire (or a large shiny wire), 0.3% is added as a semi-dull wire, and greater than 0.3% is a fully-dull wire.
50D / 18F iron: 50 denier and 18 holes, iron tube roll. 75D / 36F paper: 75 denier 36 holes, paper tube roll. 150D / 36F cation: 150 denier and 36 pores, the dyeing performance is improved by cation.
210D / 72F fat thin silk: 210 denier 72-hole slub silk. "Fat thin silk" is a non-standard textile vocabulary, which is generally understood as "skein silk", that is, a period of thick and thin silk.
(Generally not used for weaving)
DTY: stretch deformed yarn, full name: DRAW TEXTURED YARN. It is made by using POY as raw yarn, and stretching and false twisting. Often has some elasticity and contractility. (Generally divided into network and no network wire, network means network node)
FDY: Fully stretched. Full name: FULL DRAW YARN. A synthetic fiber filament further prepared by spinning and drawing. The fiber is fully drawn and can be used directly in textile processing. (It's usually called filament)
