Hi! Would you be willing to give me advice?? I'm hoping to attend Fordham next year as a Communication major. I applied to Rose Hill but I am wondering if it's the best choice for me, as I have not visited either campus. My passions are dance and theater, and living in Manhattan is my dream, so the environment at LC seems perfect for me, right? But I want a "traditional" college campus feel & community, so I applied to RH hoping to take classes at LC for the best of both worlds. Thoughts/advice?
Hey! I’d love to give you advice! I personally LOVE LC and think that there’s a very strong community on campus. Most people don’t think that because it’s so small, but it actually is BECAUSE it’s so small. Rose Hill is definitely more traditional but doesn’t have the same holistic community vibe. I’d love to chat more, if you have any questions you can email me also at [email protected], or add me on Facebook with that same email. I’ve been a communication major at LC and what I will say is convenient about being on the LC campus is that more of my professors are working professionals (I just landed an internship with a magazine through a professor - i didn’t even have to interview because she works there too), whereas more of the bronx’s professors aren’t such. It’s also better for when you are interning or looking ot because of the commute - you’re already in the city. I’d actually probably say it might be better for yu to go to LC and take classes at RH, but either way, Fordham is a truly great place. I’ve grown so much and have had so may opportunites at this school, and have been able to because it pushes you and because of it’s jesuit undertones - even if you aren’t religious, it really is everything that makes this school special. :-)
why do you dislike fordham so much???
Hahahaha! I think you're mistaken! :)
We don't hate Fordham at all! In fact, we love it so much that we've dedicated ourselves to making sure it's an open and safe environment for students to flourish and learn! And we share our support with other organizations that do the same. You don't have to be a critic to hate something, nor does hate automatically equal critique. It's even more important to be a critic of the things you love because those are the things the make the most impact on us as individuals.
Blindly accepting everything without critique isn't healthy and it doesn't facilitate personal growth either! Which is a bummer. :(

Just decided to check out the Fordham tag cause I'm bored I guess, and it's so exciting to see all the people thinking about coming next year! But I want to tell y'all since I really wish someone told me a year ago: the math department sucks if that's your intended major just think about that it's like really bad, like I love(d) math but my life is miserable right now
