‘i personally think "first comes love" did an amazing job of reeling wlw in for chapter 1/the introduction only for the actual rest of the book to be a complete shit show. because of that first chapter and the flashbacks i genuinely thought it'd be a good book because of the accuracy in the representation - one glance at f!blake and i can just tell she's queer (also think her and m!blake look like completely different characters), the realistic "love/dating life as a wlw" talk and the same sex marriage discussion, having other explicitly queer characters in the form of felicia and lino, eve saying "useless sapphics" (yes i know this happens in ch 2)... god if there's one definition of absolute disappointment then this book is it. also Why?? is mc so not a girls girl despite being a Literal Lesbian???’

‘So, FCL is the second worst book on the whole app, but I'll give it some credit. It is probably the first book where I felt actively good about turning down all the premium stuff. Even in trashy books like Surrender and TNA and RWB, I do often find myself being very tempted out of curiosity to try some of those dirty thirties. But in FCL, I had no problem rejecting all the scenes with Blake, as cute as the Asian male sprite was. I refuse to indulge the FemCeL MC's wishes.’

‘First Comes Love truly baited us in the worst way possible. They made us think it was gonna be a wholesome buddy road trip story, only to slap us in the face with a stupid misogynistic "HAR DEE HAR HAR, WE'RE GONNA PIT MC AND A STRAW LOSER VILLAIN WOMAN INTO PETTY CATFIGHTS AGAINST EACH OTHER OVER A LOVE INTEREST" plot. Un-fucking-believable. The only way to possibly save this one is to have MC allow Blake and Rebecca to stay together. Or just anything that allows MC and Blake to not end up together. But I think we're more likely to see PB get rid of their VIP system before THAT ever happens. -_-’
