“oh princessa i didn’t hear you come in. now I could get dressed, but we’ve seen each other naked before. remember that time we went skinny dipping? i bet this reminds you of it.” she giggles and doesn’t even try to cover up.

“ you are SO cute, ” adelaide giggled drunkenly as she leaned up against juno. “ like a cute little teddy bear. i just wanna hug the mess out of you, ” she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around the other girl.

It was times like this where he wished camp had no cell service. His phone was clutched so tightly in his hand it was starting to hurt. All it took was one call from his father to ruin him. Apparently, even while at camp, Nathan managed to screw up. His face was starting to burn and he could feel his heart pounding in his ears. All he wanted to do was scream and rage. But, worst of all, he could feel the tell-tale sign of tears building up behind his eyes. No matter how hard he tried to keep it in, he couldn’t. So, he cried and cried. And then the door was opening and there was Juno. She was all the way across the room but it seemed like she was so much closer, all in his space, suffocating him. He turned to face the opposite of the room so she couldn’t see his face. “Did you need something?” his voice was rough, angry and sad all at the same time. “If not, you need to get out.” It didn’t seem like she was moving fast enough. “Get out!” It was louder than it needed to be, and he would regret it later. Then she was gone, but being alone only made the tears come faster.

It had been a long day full of too many problems. Earlier he’d had a talk with one of the junior counselors about being homesick – the girl had been barely able to speak through her tears. Then later he and Juno had to deal with a fight between two of the juniors. Now, to top it off, the fire alarm had gone off in the middle of the night. “Juno, I’m tired,” he whined. He couldn’t see her well in the dark but he guessed she rolled her eyes. His co-counselor was sitting against a tree in the evacuation area, so he sat down beside her. “How long is this going to take? I never paid much attention to security protocol.” She answered, but he couldn’t even pay attention. He was too tired. He laid down on the grass. “What? Even a prince gets desperate.” With a mischievous smile, he laid his head in Juno’s lap and before she could get the chance to push him off, he begged, “Come on, Juno. You’re so comfy!” He was already asleep by the time she responded.
