now i need hcs about royal cats ( there is 6 of them ??? 😭😭) who loves who most etc.
I’d love to give you some royal kitty HC’s :)
They have four cats and they have the same personalities as the cats in the vet au (and firefighter au)—because they’re the same cats, haha! A cat from each friend; Milktoes from Nel, Nectar from Amanda, Robot from Anna, and Algernon from me :)
And now for royals au specific HC’s:
- the cats love spending the night in Anthony’s bed, and he regularly wakes up with a cat on his chest (Milktoes), his feet (Nectar), cuddled next to him (Robot), or on his face trying to suffocate him (Algernon). The only other place they like sleeping is with Roger, the old basset hound Anthony adopts. After he gets Roger, Algernon prefers to snuggle up with him most nights
- after they get Albert (the puppy BenHen give Anthony), the cats are become obsessed and do anything they can to get his attention. Albert entertains them as a puppy but grows up thinking he’s human (and Anthony’s trusted advisor on foreign policy), and does not interact with the cats. He does, however, let them nap with him lol
- Algernon rips up a very expensive very old pair of curtains in Buckingham Palace one day, which is how the palace staff come to unequivocally decide he is not allowed back. His main home is Clarence House lol
- Milktoes will knock things off of shelves in order to be able to nap
- Robot is the only one of the cats who loves Newton and the two can occasionally be found chasing each other
- the kitties 100000000% think they run the place and that Clarence House is their playground. They’ve been known to sit on people’s laptops, meow loudly to get treats/pets/attention, and Algernon once hissed at a new staffer until she began giving him chicken bits everyday
- Fran loves Anthony’s cats :)
- Greg does not care of them at all; he much prefers Newton, and, later, Fig
- the first time Kate meets Algernon, he snuggled up to her right away and purrs so very loudly and Anthony feels immensely betrayed
- Nectar is Danby’s favorite cat, and will often come and sit in her office and nap on a spot of sunlight on her desk
- The staff consensus is that Milktoes is picky but cuddly when she decides she loves you, Robot is the easiest to get along with, Nectar is sweet but skittish and runs at loud noises (loud noises being normal speaking tone) so they don’t often see him, and that getting on Algernon’s good side takes a miracle
- Anthony refuses to ever get rid of the cats so anytime a new job opens up, they have to add that whoever comes to work must like cats and not be allergic 😭
- Charlotte LOVES the kitties! She gets her own kitten when she’s five and tags along for a visit to Mayhew with Anthony and nearly cries when she can’t get the fluffy white kitten, and Anthony has a long history of never being able to say no to cats and Charlotte, so they get a fifth cat that day
- Edmund is wayyyy more into the dogs, as is Miles, however, every so often, you can find Miles sitting peacefully in the library, reading, and with literally all the pets settled around him; cats in his lap, dogs at his feet, or settled next to him
- Mary prefers the company of horses (she even goes to the Olympics!!) and birds :) the cats are quite old once she’s born, but she does still love them
