Music for A Radioactive Calamity of Love, Bombs & Gore, The UnTitledverse & The Silver Chronicles. WIP Wednesday for Doll!Silva AU in The Silver Chronicles. And OC Meme Template for characters in my Twilight of War: Champions Between the Worlds of Men & Gods crossover WIP. You can listen, read and view below the cut:
Make The Most Of Freedom (And Of Pleasure) is a Fallout 2 WIP of mine detailing a bit more of Ortega "Ore" Brantley's mission to destroy his father Arcane Urias, the circumstances surrounding Ress' birth and lastly why Ore and Ress are the only children of Urias to still be around. The latter can be explained through the introduction of Urias' brother, Matthias Talos, whom has been on the hunt for all of Urias' potential offspring (including their human mothers) to prevent his brother from gaining his own personal army to control (unbeknownst to Talos, the "human element" prevents Urias from controlling his own offspring). So while trying to weed out Urias in New Reno with his human companion Finidy Mona (the granddaughter of his old friend, Elrand Brandt), Ore tries to keep out his deranged uncle's determined hunt.
"Red alert, hit the dirt I gotta race there so nobody's hurt Danger where? In the air There's fire everywhere
I'm gonna fight the threat, challenge the set Gotta get up before my days are met Quick this way, can't delay Evil doers will pay
Must fight to protect those who need me Gonna do whatever it takes Overcome the foe, and set you free Even though my life is at stake
Shattered and broken, I'm feeling hopeless Within myself, find the strength to harness The glowing light, shining in the darkness Like a full moon when the night is starless I can't give up, I can win this The finish line is in sight 'Cause you're not crushing my spirit I'll end your evil tonight
Did my best, failed the test A simple task has turned into a quest Gotta trace, there's his base Gonna meet him face-to-face
Just take a sec, stop and check 'Cause you have much to learn before the trek Trust your sight through the night There darkness meets true light!"
In The Ender saga, around Chapter 3, Elise and Eveline (+ their little menagerie) not only come across Joaquin Cobalt and Maisie Lockwood, but also finally meet the seventh-borne Eldritch, Benny the Révolutionnaire, much like their father has in The UnTitled Ventures saga. This is the mid-point in which the rebellion Benny had been raising up since Joaquin Lockwood's absence can start rolling into motion against his older brother Zachariah, as well as a point where Benny reveals the nature of both Joaquins, and the fate of Elise & Eveline's dad after her was captured by Zachariah.
"I think of you from time to time More than I thought I would You were just too kind And I was too young to know That's all that really matters I was a fool
Baby, we built this house on memories Take my picture now, shake it till you see it And when your fantasies become your legacy Promise me a place in your house of memories!"
Silva's love life is sparse and yet her choice in serious lovers are both quite peculiar and frightening. First was Irene who was the daughter of Kamski "may I suggest committing war crimes" Neon, and later on it would be Faith Seed, you know the drug kingpin of Henbane River. How Silva managed to catch the affections of two morally dubious women is a secret not even she would know. Anywho, I also kind of find it funny how the difference between their relationship in both Silva's Hope and Old Dusk transitions from "slow-burn enemies-to-lovers pining on opposite side of the war seemingly doomed by the narrative" to "the most terrifying married couple alive in the post-apocalypse".

WIP Wednesday snippet for my Doll!Silva AU. A little reminder that this AU is kind of set like the Daylight AU where instead of escaping the Tumultite Massacre vias the docks with her younger half-sister Elsa and her infant daughter Persephone, Silva instead escaped with her adoptive father Paul Yellowjack instead. Unlike the Daylight AU, Silva dies from causes in Hope County while working as a deputy, and Paul in his grief does the reasonable thing during denial and exhumes his daughter's corpse a bit after the funeral and uses magic wood he stole from the local Witch Coven's woodland area to dollify Silva which unexpectedly brings her back to life... just not as herself (her consciousness is made up of all the memories of all the Silva's due to her Third Eye archiving it all and kind of possessing the Doll body. In other words Doll!Silva lives this line between being Silva but also not entirely being Silva). Paul hates himself for this while Doll!Silva willingly becomes his caretaker, not acting as the Silva he once knew, while also acting as a Silva without the brutal violence he taught her to use and the haunting survivor's guilt he failed to protect her from. I often reference this relationship being similar to the one between Gehrman and the Plain Doll/Maria from Bloodborne, albeit just a lot more different since Paul doesn't go out of his way to completely ignore Doll!Silva and often lives in pockets of denial that she is still his Silva.
I wanted to add more, but this may just be a short snippet until a day where I can get more motivation back. Here, the Inside Eden's Gate crew (Hannah, Alex, Sara and Mark) arrive to the Yellowjack Residence to interview Paul in regard to the presence of Eden's Gate. When I can muster some time for further writing, I'll expand the scene in the next WIP Wednesday to show Hannah having a one-on-one conversation with the hauntingly alluring and yet frighteningly tall woman in mourning attire while Paul casually sends the crew off to their canonical doom:
The small residence wasn't much to look at. What was probably once a comfortable homestead was little more than an isolated house, given the bare minimum of care deep in the woods of the Whitetails.
Hannah wondered how the hermit who lived here could stand such a life. The windows of the residence were shut and blacked out with blinds, the paint of the old home discolored and ruined by the years of exposure in the elements and a lack of maintenance, and the thorny weeds wrapped around the foundations of the patio.
Hannah looked back, past her car and her friends (including Mark), gaze traveling down the dirt path that led back to the road. Well, if anyone managed to stumble through the shrubs and foliage hiding it at least.
She huffed at the state of her car; leafs and dirt littering the vehicle. The metal was already being worn down by the months of being on the road, and the wash downs had been a tedious effort that only grew as they made their way across the counties. This month spent in Hope County would be the last, and she'd hand her keys over to a trusted friend before she joined up with the U.S Marines.
Mark jogged up to the patio, avoiding the broken step close to the ground and stepping up onto the second step. Alex filmed the surrounding area as Sara stood next to her, rubbing at one of her arms. Hannah gave her friend a smile as Mark knocked on the front door, calling out the name of the owner. Paul, she recalled.
No answer came to the door as Mark knocked on it again, calling out once again, and she overheard Alex asking, "You sure he's home?"
Hannah would think not, but the ute parked a little off to the side of the residence, likely the only thing maintained on the property, had her think otherwise. She frowned, feeling goosebumps ripple throughout her skin. Was the man ignoring Mark?
Here's my first incomplete template meme for OCs and characters that appear in my Twilight of the Gods/God of War: Ragnarok crossover WIP called Twilight of War: Champions Between the Worlds of Men & Gods in my Life, Despair & Monsters series. This WIP basically expands on a lore-relevant phenomenon in my series where the Omniscience (the body of the multiverse, the Paragon of Creation), if it senses a threat to the fates of its lifeblood (humans/mortals), a threat that could disrupt the very fabric of the reality of a single universe (especially when the threats relate to its own children), then it will call upon champions of other worlds to resolve the threat, however they please. Basically an immune response system. This first occurs in The Omniscient Rule saga of The UnTitledverse in one of the chapters of The UnTitled Stories, a crossover event set in the world of Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. Here, it's dealing with a time where characters from across the series were called upon (whether from death or history) to eliminate the threat of the Wicked, led by Overlord Yavin and Flametress, in the God of War universe, specifically during Ragnarok. However, unlike in that The UnTitled Stories chapter whose champions mostly consisted of original characters, here there is one character from another canon who is transported from death into this universe for the sole purpose of hashing vengeance on the Omniscience's transgressors. Her name is Sigrid, better known as "The Weeping" to her version of Thor, from the Twilight of the Gods show. Joining are a few of my characters:
Icarus Haven, a man who flew too close to the sun and was burned, but was saved by the Arachnoids (and mended) in exchange for helping them in the Exterminator Purge Wars, teaching their Exterminators to fly, as they slaughtered the Kin (Icarus Haven would later become Professor Haven in The UnTitledverse).
Here is where two champions would first meet to start a close comradery, for better and for worse, between a Greek demigod by the name of Nigel Gauss, the bastard son of Terpsichore, and master of dance fighting, as well as Splinter, a cybernetic warrior from the distant future. This start to friendship would lead them to partnering up in later adventures, however, unfortunately a chasm would break apart between the two's friendship, all stemming from Nigel's inability to accept Splinter's rejections to an unrequited love, leading him to break Time Laws by entering a forbidden dream, teaming up with discount Elon Musk to secure a library within the nightmare of a infant god, just so when the dream breaks into reality, the world can turn into werewolves. Leading to Splinter having to chase after and put a stop to his old friend.
And lastly, unseen, is the Dancetapper, as well as the specter of a memory of a bard he knew named Lydia. The Dancetapper is a first-generation Kin, who bends the will of reality itself through the power of song & dance.
From left to right, top to bottom:
Nigel Gauss, bastard demigod son of the Greek Goddess of the Lyre & Dancing, who has mastered the skill of dance fight. He seeks to test such skills against people he is given universal (re: legal) permission to kill (e.g. the Wicked and Odin's forces in Asgard). He does pique an interest in the warrior from a distant future though.
Icarus Haven, the Icarus who few too close to the sun, an Icarus who was saved by the enigmatic Arachnoids, whom replaced his wings with technology beyond his imagination, in exchange for teaching their angels flight, and lead them in a catastrophic campaign to exterminate the Kin. Haven had died in those wars, but the Omniscience brings him back to fight battles against a greater evil, and although jaded and guilt-ridden from his role in the vile Extermination Purge War, he takes it upon himself to lead his band of misfits to put an end to the threats they face. He gains a particular close kinship with Sigrid, both having been the only two to have been brought back from death, and denied their peace in their respective afterlives.
Heimdall from God of War: Ragnarok. An antagonist in Twilight of War: Champions Between the World of Gods & Men, and only added here since he seems particularly fruity to me.
Sigrid, aka "The Weeping" to Thor (of her world, although whose to say it would be any different in the world she's found herself in?), is a half-human, half-giant woman who comes from Twilight of the Gods. Her family murdered on her wedding day, she is aided by Loki in her vendetta against Thor, eventually killing the God of Thunder in combat, but would be killed by Loki himself for his own agenda. Instead of waking in Valhalla, a right she earned, the Omniscience diverges her path to the realm of the God of War universe, in an entirely different version of the Nine Realms. One with a Thor whose very much still alive.
Lúnda, another character from God of War: Ragnarok, a dwarf supporting Freyr's cause by building traps, medicine and other useful tools. She also is a huge flirt when it comes to Freya (and occasionally Kratos).
Splinter (reference picture is of Nightfall from Final Space), is a cybernetic warrior from a distant future, with ties to Egypt. He would rather be anywhere but in the realm of the Norse mythology, but at least the dance-fighting demigod is interesting enough.
Kratos, the titular God of War, whose next destination will still be Egypt after all this is done.
Flametress, a fiery flame spirit who pesters Splinter in the future and now in the distant past, she is an enforcer of the Wicked, aiding Overlord Yavin by being the primary representative of the Wicked to Odin, and a honey trap towards the All-Father, as to covert the knowledge he seeks for their own master, the Unknown Evil, who seeks a means to acquire a method to kill his own sibling, Zachariah, and take his place as the Hand at Fate's Table.
