Stopping dead in his tracks, the willowy boy swung around and stared, eyes wide and brows arched, petal pink lips gaping enough to show canines. Blinking blankly, he rushed to interject, “Okay, I’m gonna have to stop you right there!”
Leaning back and waving a hand in appraisal down the air before her, the elder shook his head to the negative, mulling over his words for once. At last arms crossed over his chest and Hubert insisted, “How are you not confident twenty-five eight, to be honest? No, no, this simply will not do!” Clearing his throat, the teenager balled up fists in front of his chest before yelling and tossing them into the air in rhythm with the words, “Give me a D! Give me an A! Give me an N! Give me an I! Dani, Dani, she’s our ga–“Cutting himself off with a misplaced knock to his nose, the silly boy doubled over, clutching the smarting part. Only a brief moment of cursing and he popped back up, hand still pressed to the steadily reddening skin, to continue, “Anyways, I will be your personal confidence cheerleader from now on, so try it out for more than two minutes, all right?”
It is undeniable that everyone has their off days, and despite being the bright little ray of sunshine that her family claimed her to be, Dani has days where she feels a little less confident about herself. Was it the bad hair that she had woken up to? With the high ponytail sat gracefully above her head, she hung her head low. A pout was visible when she shared her feeling to the male. Though, she watched him with her doe eyes, curious as to what he had so say with her feeling a little under the weather.
His plan of actions had caused her to laugh while covering her mouth. It was adorable, really! Like a little kid trying to cheer his friend up. It made her feel as though someone had laid out a red carpet for her with her own little cheerleading squad. Cheeks flushing red, she placed both hands on her rather chubby cheeks as the smile on her face grew from ear to ear. Just that wide! Nodding a few times after she listened to him, she straightened up her posture and pressed her lips together. it must be odd for someone to see her like that, a girl who has always been filled with happiness and an actual human embodiment of the color yellow- color of brightness and everything happy.
“Mmmm, I’ll think about it! I’m just having an off day today. My hair looks weird and the clothes I’m wearing don’t really help with the whole confidence thing much either.” For a dramatic effect, she rolled her shoulders into a dramatic shrug accompanied by a dramatic sigh only to have them followed closely by a smile. “I think you’d be the best cheerleader on campus! You should teach me your routine. That-- or I could be on the bleacher to cheer you on. And I could fetch you a pair of personalized pom-pom’s!”
