from what i understand, it's a royal robot (? blue blood? idk) who was created for some great political purpose and was adopted by an old fisherman. the pressure of ruling eventually becomes too much for the blue blood and eventually he kills himself. however he is a robot so i do not know how permanent this is. i like the kid, hope he gets reassembled and gets to step down from ruling.

not sure where detroit comes into this, but. i've heard it's a crazy city and they get up to some shit there
