Fauxstage/artistamp commission
Hey followers and mutuals, I'm getting more into mail art and am looking in to hosting a letter writing social locally. In preparation, I’ve been trying to develop an artistamp but my digital media skills are kinda “meh” and traditional media won’t give me the kind of freedom I need to manipulate size and color and so forth - plus reproduceability is kinda key.
So, I’m looking to commission someone (yes, actual money is involved, though payment means itself will be worked out with the artist) to create the design that is in my head, or something similar but more awesome. Bare minimum I will pay is $25 but i dunno how much time/effort we’re talking about here, I just know that my budget for this probably peaks around $75. I realize that isn’t a whole lot of money, but there’s some negotiability...especially if I don’t have to pay in a lump sum. Please let me know if this pricing is simply not realistic and maybe we can work out something we’re both happy with. This will not be used professionally or get tattooed on anyone so the most important thing to me is that everyone walks away from this feeling like they made a good deal.
Brief description of what I have in mind, for the curious: small logo (about one square inch when printed?) and maybe three or four words incorporated, line and flat color for fairly simple image imo but obviously not so simple that I want to make it without a tablet. Basic elements should include ball of yarn abstractly representing Earth (just blue and green and maybe some white, I don’t need continents or anything), fountain/dip pen as knitting needle plus pencil or other tool for the second needle. Would like the yarn and/or the pen to be “drawing” the words, but that’s optional.
Preference for tumblr user with some kind of digital gallery I can view, and I’m likelier to commission someone I already follow, I just don’t know who’s open for work right now. So...does ayone know a commissionable artist with a logo/design specialty, particularly vector graphics?
